Sowan Suwun 2025 is one of the community service programs organized by the Community Service Division, Communication Science Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi / HMPS Ilkom), Universitas Diponegoro. This year, Sowan Suwun returned to one of the orphanages in Semarang on November 1, 2025, carrying the theme “Langkah Kecilku, Masa Depanku” (My Little Step, My Future). The program focused on inspiring children to dream, to imagine their future, and to believe in the power of small beginnings.
This program aims to foster children’s awareness of the importance of having dreams and self-confidence to pursue them. Through creative and interactive activities such as drawing and storytelling, the program encouraged the children to express their aspirations and to take small steps toward their goals.
Beyond the activities themselves, this program also strengthened the sense of empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility among the volunteers. The collaboration between students, donors, and the orphanage created an atmosphere full of joy and shared learning. Through the collective kindness and generosity of many, a total donation of Rp 2,921,000 was raised, enabling the event to run smoothly and meaningfully.
Through Sowan Suwun 2025, we hope to continue bringing positive changes to society starting from small, heartfelt steps. Every dream begins somewhere, and every step taken today can lead to a brighter tomorrow.
