Semarang, November 16, 2025 — The Thesis Workshop, a flagship program under the Research and Scientific Division of Business Administration Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Bisnis / HMPS AB), aims to equip Business Administration students with a comprehensive understanding of thesis writing. The workshop was successfully held on November 16, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Auditorium, attended by Business Administration students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts. The event featured two distinguished speakers: Dr. Reni Shinta Dewi, S.Sos., M.Si. and Dr. Andi Wijayanto, S.Sos., M.Si. The workshop served as a valuable platform for students of the 2022 cohort to deepen their foundational knowledge of thesis writing and field papers.

The selection of topics—thesis structure and stages, as well as basic understanding of field papers—was not arbitrary. These themes were chosen based on a prior survey conducted among Business Administration students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, ensuring the material responded directly to students’ academic needs. To deliver the topics effectively, competent speakers were essential. Consequently, Dr. Andi Wijayanto was assigned to present the thesis structure and writing stages, while Dr. Reni Shinta Dewi delivered the material on foundational concepts of field papers.

This year, the workshop carried the theme “Basic Understanding of Final Assignments as a Foundation for Creating Quality Final Assignments.” The theme highlights the importance of strong foundational writing knowledge as a key graduation requirement. Through this theme, it is expected the participants will get a clear understanding of both thesis writing and field papers, enabling them to determine their academic interests moving forward.

The workshop commenced at 09.00 A.M and concluded at 12.00. P.M.The event was hosted by Aruna Athaillah Nur and Annisa Aulia Hanifah as Masters of Ceremony, with Alya Aziza serving as moderator during the presentation sessions. Their roles contributed significantly to the smooth flow and overall success of the workshop.

A total of 206 participants attended the event, consisting of 200 students from the 2023 cohort and 6 students from the 2024 cohort. The audience showed high enthusiasm throughout the workshop, especially during the question-and-answer session, where many students actively posed questions to gain deeper insights into the topics discussed.

As an outcome of this workshop, Business Administration students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts gained essential foundational knowledge on thesis writing and field papers—insights that will serve as a strong basis for selecting their preferred final assignment pathway and fulfilling graduation requirements.
