Semarang, November 9, 2025 — The Live In program serves as a tangible manifestation of student contributions to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the areas of community service and research. Through this initiative, students are given the opportunity to immerse themselves directly in village life, interact with local residents, and contribute to various educational, social, and empowerment activities. This year, Live In 2025 adopts the theme “Weaving Technology, Bridging Tradition”, reflecting an effort to integrate technological advancements with the local values of Gogik Village, Ungaran District, Semarang Regency.
The two-day, one-night program took place from November 8 to 9, 2025 in Gogik Village. The series of activities began on Saturday, November 8, 2025 with a departure ceremony at the University Diponegoro Student Center at 06.30 AM, before participants proceeded to the event location. Upon arrival, the group immediately conducted a “Coding for Kids” educational session at SDIT Gintungan, introducing basic technology concepts to first through third graders through interactive games. The activity received enthusiastic responses from both the children and the HIMPS members who guided the session.
Following the digital education activity, participants continued with a hands-on session on tofu-meatball processing at SM Tofu, located near SDIT Gintungan. This experience provided valuable insights into local food production while showcasing the potential of micro-enterprises within the village community.
In the afternoon, the official opening ceremony of Live In 2025 took place at Masjid Jami’ Manbaul Huda. The event was attended by the Village Head of Gogik, the Village Secretary, the Head of UPK HIMPS, and the Chairperson of Live In 2025, each delivering remarks to formally commence the program. Several other village officials were also present to support the occasion.
As evening approached, participants joined local children in Quran recitation and Islamic storytelling activities, fostering warm and meaningful interactions between students and the community. Later that night, the agenda concluded with a communal movie screening of “Jumbo”, attended by residents and participants as a form of entertainment and community bonding. Afterwards, participants rested in accommodations prepared by the organizing committee.
On the second day, Sunday, November 9, 2025, activities began with morning exercise alongside village residents, followed by an outbound session designed to enhance teamwork, sportsmanship, and collaboration among participants. After completing the full agenda, the group departed for the University Diponegoro Student Center, marking the conclusion of Live In 2025 in Gogik Village.
Through this initiative, UPK Peduli Sosial FISIP Undip hopes that students will cultivate social awareness, gain a deeper understanding of village life dynamics, and contribute meaningfully to community empowerment through education and collaboration. Live In 2025 is expected to serve as a bridge between technology and tradition, while strengthening the spirit of cooperation between students and the village community.
