Semarang (04/09) – In a strategic effort to support Universitas Diponegoro’s (Undip) acceleration toward becoming a World Class University and achieving its target of a top 500 world ranking in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR), the Library Central Service Unit (UPT Perpustakaan) and Undip Press held an event titled “Smart Campus Scholar Undip: Academic Community Research and Publication Portal.” The workshop, which took place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, was attended by lecturers from Undip’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) and was held in the Diponegoro Muda Hall, Building D, 1st Floor, at the Undip FISIP Tembalang Campus.
The event was officially opened with remarks by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FISIP Undip, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD. The agenda continued with presentations from the speakers: the Head of UPT Library and Undip Press, Suwondo, S.Hum., M.Kom., and the Vice Director of Systems and Information Technology, Kurniawan Teguh Martono, ST., MT.
The core objective of this activity was to provide comprehensive and detailed guidance to FISIP Undip lecturers on managing their personal accounts on the Scholar Undip platform (scholar.undip.ac.id). This platform serves as the backbone of Undip’s research management system, functioning to integrate scientific publication information, research data, research collaboration, and author profiles within a single unified portal. Accurate and up-to-date data management on this platform is deemed crucial for meeting QS WUR assessment indicators, particularly those related to research productivity and impact.
This Smart Campus Scholar Undip initiative represents a concrete and targeted operational step. By optimizing the use of the Scholar Undip portal, it is expected to lead to a significant increase in research productivity and the quality of its documentation, which will ultimately contribute directly to accelerating Undip’s achievement of its goal to rank among the world’s top 500 universities.
