Profile of the Research and Community Service Development Unit

The Research and Community Service Development Unit (UP3) is an implementation unit at the faculty level tasked with encouraging the increase in both quantity and quality of research and community service within the faculty. To realize this duty, UP3 organizes various funding schemes and provides facilitation for research and community service for lecturers. Furthermore, this unit actively builds cooperation and collaborative networks at both national and international levels, particularly in the field of research.

The management structure of UP3 consists of a chairperson, a secretary, and a number of members who come from various disciplines within the faculty.

Main Duties of the Research and Community Service Development Unit:

  1. The Academic, Administration, and Student Affairs Sector, which includes activities such as educational planning and development studies, monitoring and evaluation activities, drafting strategic plan and work meeting documents, database compilation, creating standard formats, faculty annual reports, and department annual reports.
  2. The Facilities and Infrastructure Sector, which involves creating master plans, both short-term and long-term, for physical development.
  3. Inventory, Evaluation, and Planning for the Development of Teaching and Learning Facilities, conducted in three stages: the inventory of facilities and infrastructure stage, the evaluation stage, and the development planning stage.
  4. To provide technical support for some of the main duties of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Diponegoro University, particularly in the field of Educational Planning and Development.

Core Functions of the Research and Community Service Development Unit:

  1. To assist the Faculty Leadership in monitoring and analyzing monthly activity reports, including both progress and issues, from each unit/sub-division and department within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University (UNDIP).
  2. To prepare SWOT analyses and assist the Faculty Leadership in formulating solutions to problems faced by units/sub-divisions within FISIP UNDIP.
  3. To assist the Faculty Leadership in coordinating and integrating work programs in accordance with the established Performance-Based Budget (RBA).
