On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, a General Lecture on National Health Insurance was held. This event carried the theme: Transformation of Service Quality of the JKN Program: Easy, Fast, Equal. The event was a collaboration between BPJS Kesehatan Pati Branch and the Undergraduate Public Administration Study Program, Rembang Campus, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Diponegoro University. The Head of BPJS Kesehatan Pati Branch, Dr. Wahyu Giyanto, SE, MM. CPM, CT, served as the speaker in this activity, moderated by Dr. Johan Bhimo Sukoco, S.Sos, M.Si, Lecturer of the Public Administration Department, FISIP, Diponegoro University. This activity was held from 09.00 to 11.40 WIB, in a hybrid system (offline and online). The activity was attended by 120 participants, both offline at Room A.103 PSDKU Undip Rembang Campus, and online through the Zoom platform.
Through his presentation, Dr. Wahyu Giyanto emphasized that the National Health Insurance (JKN) is part of the national social security system organized by BPJS Kesehatan. Indonesia has received international recognition as one of the largest providers of universal health coverage (UHC) in the world. The transformation of JKN services is carried out to be easier, faster, and more equal through administrative digitalization, online queuing, teleconsultation, and referral simplification. BPJS Kesehatan has collaborated with more than 10 thousand community health centers, thousands of clinics, and more than 3 thousand hospitals throughout Indonesia. With the principle of transparency and quality improvement, BPJS Kesehatan is committed to providing fair and sustainable health protection for all people.
“This activity is expected to encourage students to better understand the importance of JKN, so that students can become JKN Ambassadors who also disseminate JKN programs well to the wider community,” said Dr. Wahyu Giyanto. At the end of the event, Dr. Johan Bhimo emphasized that this public lecture is a manifestation of collaboration between academics and the Business and Industrial World (DUDI), so that in the future it needs to be strengthened in further cooperation.
