Semarang (8/22) – The Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen (PKKMB) and Character Building Program (Pendikar) represent crucial stages for new students in adapting to the academic environment while instilling the fundamental values of solidarity, leadership, and integrity. Through these programs, students are expected to build a strong foundation for their academic journey at the university.

As the closing event of this series, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), held the Orange’s Youth Inauguration (Orygin) on Friday, August 22, 2025. This event marked the culmination of activities following the PKKMB and Pendikar FISIP Undip 2025/2026, which had taken place since Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

The Orygin ceremony was attended by Undip Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., and Chairman of the Alumni Association (IKA) FISIP Undip 2025–2030, Yogi Arief Nugraha, S.Sos., M.Si. Their presence underscored FISIP Undip’s commitment to guiding new students to become an excellent and forward-looking generation.

In his remarks, Dean Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., encouraged students to cultivate a continuous passion for learning. “Study so that you may become great individuals, impactful individuals, and individuals who bring benefit to the nation and the state,” he conveyed.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of IKA FISIP, Yogi Arief Nugraha, S.Sos., M.Si., congratulated the new students on their successful admission to FISIP Undip. He encouraged them by saying, “Let us together seize this valuable opportunity to build Indonesia, starting from your immediate environment.” He further emphasized the importance of independence in shaping one’s path in life: “The only ones who can determine your future are yourselves,” he added.

Beyond these inspiring messages, the Orygin program featured a variety of performances by FISIP’s Student Activity Units (UPK), including Traditional Dance (Tatra) and Sakutala, as well as creative showcases from first-year students across six study programs within FISIP Undip. The event was further enlivened by the symbolic awarding of IKA FISIP scholarships and an Inspirational Talkshow hosted by the alumni association.

Through this series of activities, Orygin not only served as the formal conclusion of PKKMB and Pendikar but also as a pivotal moment for FISIP Undip’s new students to reaffirm their commitment to achieving academic excellence, developing strong character, and contributing meaningfully to society and the nation.
