Semarang, August 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro held a socialization event for the Introduction to Campus Life for Freshmen (PKKMB) and Character Building (Pendikar) 2025 for parents/guardians of new students in the 2025/2026 academic year. This event is part of FISIP Undip’s routine agenda as a means of sharing information about campus activities while strengthening communication between the faculty and parents/guardians.
The event, held at the Orange campus, was attended by FISIP Undip’s leadership, including the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin; Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD.; and Vice Dean for Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, A.Md.Ak., S.H., M.H., Ph.D. In his remarks, the Dean emphasized the faculty’s commitment to providing open access to information for parents/guardians through the website, social media, and direct visits.
In addition to addressing parents/guardians, the Dean of FISIP Undip also reported the presence of international students joining this year. “This year, I think we have around 50 to 75 students coming from different countries around the world,” he stated. The increasing interest from both local and international students reflects the growing reputation of FISIP Undip’s study programs as a top choice.
Following the opening session, the event continued with program-specific socialization. The second session was dedicated to Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor of Public Administration (Rembang Campus), and Bachelor of Communication Science, while the third session covered Bachelor of Government Studies, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Bachelor of International Relations. Through this event, parents/guardians are expected to gain a deeper understanding of the academic dynamics their children will experience, fostering positive synergy between families and the university in supporting student success.
