Jepara, July 25–26, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Diponegoro University (FISIP UNDIP) once again affirmed its determination to join the ranks of world-class universities. The Strategic Coordination Meeting held at Antawirya Hotel, BPKJ Teluk Awur Complex, Jepara, saw FISIP UNDIP planning concrete steps to realize a World Class Study Program (WCSP).
Over two days, faculty leaders — from the Dean, Chair of the Faculty Senate, Vice Deans, Managers, Supervisors, to all Department Heads, Study Program Heads, and Heads of Expertise Groups (KBK) — engaged in discussions to design measurable and impactful academic development strategies.
This meeting focused on the review and strengthening of strategic programs such as World Class University (WCU), World Class Faculty (WCF), and World Class Study Program (WCSP), including the integration of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum and the optimization of KBK roles to support an adaptive learning environment.
In his speech, the Dean of FISIP UNDIP, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M. Pol.Admin., stated that internationalization is not only about obtaining titles, but about real changes in the academic system.
“We are not merely focused on status. Our goal is to build real capabilities that benefit society. FISIP students must be ready to compete globally and be able to provide solutions to various problems in an international context,” said Dr. Teguh.
Furthermore, he emphasized the need to strengthen the Expertise Groups (KBK) as the main pillar in scientific development, lecturer collaboration, and learning relevance.
“KBK is a strategic foundation. Through collaboration in the same field of knowledge, lecturers can enhance their tasks, develop expertise, and create a learning environment that meets the demands of the job market,” he explained.
Dr. Teguh also invited all members of the academic community, from young lecturers to professors, to jointly build an internationally oriented academic atmosphere. He emphasized that high academic quality can only be achieved if all parties move together toward the same goal.
As a result of this meeting, FISIP UNDIP established several strategic priorities, including: accelerating the comprehensive implementation of the OBE curriculum, strengthening cross-KBK networks, and improving academic services based on international standards for students.
With well-planned policies and a strong spirit of collaboration, FISIP UNDIP is moving forward to become a faculty that is flexible, innovative, and competitive in facing global challenges in higher education.
