Semarang – On July 23, 2025, Dr. AP. Dra. Tri Yuniningsih, M.Si., Head of the Department of Public Administration at FISIP Diponegoro University, contributed as a speaker as well as a mentor in an event titled “SINBAGO JATENG” (Sinau Bareng Kanggo Jateng), organized by the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) of Central Java Province.
This event is part of BRIDA Central Java’s strategic initiative to improve human resource capacity, particularly researchers within BRIDA across districts and cities in Central Java. During the event, participants received training and intensive mentoring in writing scientific articles to be published in national and international journals.
In addition to Dr. Tri Yuniningsih, the event also featured several speakers from leading academic and research institutions, including Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, and representatives from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) based in Jakarta. The speakers provided theoretical insights as well as practical guidance on writing high-quality scientific articles according to academic standards.
The participants were delegates from BRIDA in various districts/cities in Central Java, each represented by an average of two people. Throughout the event, participants showed great enthusiasm. They actively engaged in discussions, explored scientific writing strategies, and prepared drafts of scientific articles based on research conducted in their respective regions.
During her mentoring session, Dr. Tri Yuniningsih emphasized the importance of the role of local researchers in producing knowledge based on local needs, while also addressing development challenges through data and research. She also provided technical guidance on article structure, selecting appropriate journals, and techniques for writing references and methodologies.
As a form of appreciation for the spirit and participation of the participants, BRIDA Central Java has planned a follow-up activity involving the selection of the six best scientific works. These works will be announced and awarded in a follow-up forum in September 2025. The awards will be presented directly by the Governor of Central Java as a form of motivation and recognition for the active contributions of local researchers in developing knowledge and innovation based on local contexts.
This activity serves as a good example of synergy between academia, government, and research institutions in building a scientific culture at the regional level. The presence of Dr. Tri Yuniningsih and other speakers demonstrates the strong commitment of the academic world in supporting capacity building for regional researchers to become more competitive at the national and global levels.
