Semarang (16/07) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro organized FISIP Next (Navigating, Explore, Thrive), an online graduation preparation talk show held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The event was designed to equip FISIP Undip’s prospective graduates with the necessary skills to face challenges in the professional world and further studies in today’s competitive era.
The event featured two expert speakers: Desy Magdalena, S.A.B. (People & Culture Manager at PT. Classix Fine Foods Indonesia) and Mohamad Fajr Haqi I., S.IP., M.A. (Strategic Partnership Director at Schoters by Ruang Guru and awardee of the YTB, Venice, and MNU Korea scholarships). Both shared practical insights on preparing for professional careers and advanced academic pursuits.
Additionally, in his activity report, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FISIP Undip, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD., stated that FISIP Next aimed to prepare 451 prospective graduates participating in the 179th graduation period by enhancing their technical skills, such as CV writing, interview techniques, and personal branding.
“The university highly hopes that soon-to-be graduates—whether three or six months after graduation—will report their career progress through the Tracer Study,” Rouli emphasized, highlighting the importance of the Tracer Study as a means to evaluate the university’s preparation programs.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his address, outlined three keys to success: demonstrating competence, mastering foreign languages, and adaptability. “Those who succeed in the future are not necessarily the smartest or most intelligent, but the most adaptable,” he stated. He also encouraged graduates to leverage alumni networks and social media while expressing his hope that they would be ready to face future challenges.
The event also provided comprehensive information on domestic and international postgraduate scholarships, along with strategies for writing effective motivation letters. Through this holistic preparation, FISIP Undip hopes to produce graduates ready to compete in both the global job market and academic fields.
