Semarang (14/07) – In an effort to strengthen academic networks and enhance the quality of higher education, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The event, held on Monday, July 14, 2025, in the PKM Diponegoro Muda Room, Building D, 1st Floor, at the FISIP Undip Tembalang Campus, aimed to establish cooperation while learning from the experience of FISIP Undip as one of Indonesia’s leading faculties.
The visit was attended by the FISIP Untirta delegation, consisting of the Dean of FISIP Untirta, Leo Agustino, S.Sos, M.Si, Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Ika Arinia Indriyany, S.I.P., M.A.; and the public relations staff member, Dawam Syukron, M.Ikom. They were warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., along with his team.
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP Untirta, Leo Agustino, expressed the purpose of the visit. “We hope to learn much from FISIP Undip as one of the universities ranked among the top 500 in the world,” he stated. He emphasized that the visit was not only for signing a cooperation agreement but also for gaining insights from FISIP Undip in preparation for competing at both national and international levels.
The Dean of FISIP Undip, Teguh Yuwono, welcomed the visit and appreciated FISIP Untirta’s initiative. He explained that this collaboration would encompass various aspects of the university’s Three Pillars of Higher Education, including education, research, and community service.
The event continued with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FISIP Untirta and FISIP Undip. This cooperation is expected to serve as a first step toward further collaboration, such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and study program development.
This visit not only strengthened the relationship between the two institutions but also demonstrated their shared commitment to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. By exchanging knowledge and resources, FISIP Untirta and FISIP Undip are determined to jointly contribute to the advancement of social and political sciences at both national and global levels.
