Semarang (07/08) – In an effort to strengthen academic networks and enhance the quality of higher education, Universitas Bina Taruna (Unbita) Gorontalo conducted an Orientation Study Visit to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The event, held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in the PKM Diponegoro Muda Room, Building D, 1st Floor, FISIP Undip Tembalang Campus, underscored the importance of synergy between universities in mutual learning and collaboration for the advancement of national education.

The Unbita delegation, consisting of the Rector, Dr. Ellys Rachman, S.Sos., M.Si.; Vice Rector I, Yahya Antu, S.AB., M.Si.; Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences (FAIS) Unbita, Kurniadi K. Hasan, SE., M.AP.; Head of the Business Administration Study Program, Apdul Gandi Igirisa, S.AP., M.Si.; Head of the Public Administration Study Program, Apdul Gandi Igirisa, S.AP., M.Si.; and Head of Human Resources, Marini Idham, S.AP., M.Si., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., along with the leadership of the Faculty. The visit was also attended by 70 students from the Public Administration and Business Administration study programs at FAIS Unbita.

In his remarks, Unbita Rector, Ellys Rachman, explained the purpose of the visit, “The goal is, first, to broaden our students’ perspectives—to see, experience, and learn from universities or government institutions outside Gorontalo Province.” She also expressed great hopes for this collaboration, which could have a positive impact on the development of Unbita through collaboration in various Tri Dharma fields with prestigious campuses such as Undip.

FISIP Undip Dean Teguh Yuwono warmly welcomed the visit, stating, “One of the strengths of the learning process is learning and benchmarking from others’ experiences.” This statement reaffirmed FISIP Undip’s commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise with other educational institutions in a collective effort to elevate the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

The main event of the occasion was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences (FAIS) Unbita and FISIP Undip. This partnership is expected to serve as a foundation for developing various collaborative programs in the future.

This initiative not only provided direct benefits to Unbita students, who had the opportunity to learn from FISIP Undip’s experiences, but also opened new avenues for both institutions to strengthen their commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Through such collaborative efforts, it is hoped that a supportive academic ecosystem will emerge, fostering the advancement of national higher education standards.
