Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Conducts Performance Report Drafting Consultation with FISIP Undip Academics

Semarang (13/06) – In an effort to compile a comprehensive and aspirational performance report, the Drafting Team for the 2024-2025 House of Representatives of Indonesia (DPR RI) Performance Report Book held a consultation meeting with academics from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro. The event took place on Friday, June 13, 2025, in the Senate Meeting Room, Building A, 2nd Floor, FISIP Undip Tembalang Campus, as part of an initiative to gather academic input to enhance the quality and relevance of the DPR RI’s performance report.

The team, led by the Head of the Parliamentary Analysis Center, Chairil Patria, S.IP., M.Si., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. Also present as a speaker was Dr. Sos. Dra. Fitriyah, M.S, a lecturer from the Department of Politics and Government Studies at FISIP Undip. In his welcoming remarks, the Dean expressed his appreciation for the visit, stating, “For us, the House of Representatives, Regional Legislative Councils (DPRD), political parties, and ministries are key partners—important stakeholders within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.”

Meanwhile, Chairil Patria explained that the visit aimed to gather insights and learn from academics in drafting the House of Representatives of Indonesia’s performance report. “Currently, we are actively promoting a modern and aspirational parliament at the DPR RI,” he said. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of meaningful participation in the report’s preparation, adding, “The report also incorporates meaningful participation to absorb as many aspirations as possible, ensuring that public interests are well accommodated.”

This event served as a productive discussion platform between parliamentary practitioners and academics, with the expectation of producing a performance report that is not only informative but also reflective of societal needs and aspirations. Such collaborations are hoped to be further developed to strengthen ties between the political and academic spheres, fostering more responsive and high-quality policymaking.
