Jepara, July 25–26, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP Undip) held a Strategic Coordination Meeting at Antawirya Hotel, BPKJ Teluk Awur Complex, Jepara, as part of its academic consolidation efforts toward developing World-Class Study Programs.
The meeting was attended by the Dean, Chair of Faculty Senate, Vice Deans, manager, supervisors, Heads of Department and Study Program, and Heads of Expertise Field Groups (KBK) within FISIP Undip. The primary discussion focused on evaluating and monitoring strategic programs such as World-Class University (WCU), World-Class Faculty (WCF), and World-Class Study Program (WCSP), as well as strengthening KBK and Semester Learning Plans (RPS) based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum.
In his address, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., Dean of FISIP Undip, emphasized that internationalization efforts are not merely about gaining global recognition but about creating a relevant and impactful academic system. “Our goal is not just to pursue international status but to build real competencies that benefit society. FISIP students must possess world-class competitiveness, be capable of working on the global stage, and become problem solvers,” he stated.
He also highlighted the strategic role of KBK in strengthening academic competencies and guiding the work of both lecturers and students. KBK serves as a collaborative platform for lecturers within the same field of expertise to support the three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma), enhance academic capacity, and align learning processes with industry needs. “Synergy among lecturers within the same academic foundation will create a robust and competitive academic process,” he added.
Furthermore, Dr. Teguh underscored the importance of shared vision and cross-generational collaboration—from senior and junior lecturers to students and professors—in building a globally competitive academic environment. He stressed that educational goals can only be achieved if all elements move in the same direction.
Through this meeting, FISIP Undip established several strategic steps, including accelerating the full implementation of the OBE curriculum, strengthening inter-KBK collaboration, and improving the quality of academic services based on international standards.
With a spirit of synergy and measurable policy direction, FISIP Undip continues to reinforce its position as an adaptive, progressive higher education institution ready to address global challenges.
