Bandungan, (04/26). An organization’s management will not function well without a sense of ownership from its members, solidarity among team members, and members who lack the necessary basic skills. Department of Student Resource Development is holding an UPGRADING program on April 26-27, 2025 (2 days and 1 night) at the Amanda Hills Hotel, Bandungan-Semarang Regency, with theme “Solidarity We Are Together, Together We Are Stronger”. The work program for improvement aims to strengthen relationships among fellow administrators and provide future skills to administrators through material delivery and discussion.
What skills? So, the skills that are instilled are problem-solving, which is implemented through a case study. Each group will be required to create a solution to the problem through a work program. After that, the product of this work program will be presented to the finalists through a Public Hearing session. Those skills will be very necessary for the future managers when faced with similar problems. Additionally, there was an equally beneficial session, a talk show about leadership training for the officers, discussing the attitudes and actions they should possess when faced with problems, which should be instilled and learned by the officers of the Public Administration Association (HMPS) 2025.
In the presentation session, material was delivered on the fundamentals of an ideal organization, explaining the foundation needed by the organization before the association’s management directly engages with the public to implement work programs. This ensures that the work programs implemented not only achieve optimal performance but also provide beneficial outputs to the public.
“Where’s the bounding point…? They said it’s upgrading, up grow and bounding.” That’s right, the bounding activities are packaged into 2 activities that are done together. First, there was a games session conducted by department so that members in each department so that members in each department would already be familiar with each other during the initial period of their term. There are several games like Fire Defender, Don’t Jump, Don’t Move, and Catch the Bottle. These games require teamwork to achieve victory at the finish line, which strengthens the bond between members and makes their chemistry even closer and stronger. Additionally, there was a night of camaraderie that was equally exciting and fun, bringing out the active participation of the board members and greatly boosting their spirits.
This year’s UPGRADING was not just about staying overnight and having fun, but was held to equip the Public Administration Student Association (HMPS) 2025 executives, emphasizing personal commitment and optimal performance. This work program is organized so that the next work program can be well and optimally integrated.
