SEMARANG, April 26, 2025 – In celebration of Easter, the Catholic Student Spiritual Service Activity Unit (UPK PRMK) of FISIP Undip organized the Touch of Christ’s Soldiers program at Rumah Shalom Orphanage in Tanah Mas, Semarang. This community service activity, held on April 26, began at 09:00 A.M. with an opening by the emcee, followed by remarks from the Event Chairperson, Angela Merici, the Head of PRMK FISIP Undip, Mutiara Kristi Manurung, and the PRMK FISIP Undip Supervisor, Yohanes Thianika Budiarsa, S.I.Kom., MGMC. The event focused on material delivered by the speaker and featured station games and trivia. A total of 45 children from Rumah Shalom Orphanage participated enthusiastically in the activities.

Touch of Christ’s Soldiers (SLK) is one of UPK PRMK FISIP UNDIP’s community service programs, serving as a platform for Catholic students at FISIP to express love and care for the surrounding community. Themed “Together in Love, United in Christ,” the program aims to spread joy and affection to orphaned children. It also serves as a tangible action by Catholic students of FISIP UNDIP to dedicate their energy and commitment to the children.

Volunteers also participated, accompanying the children through various activities, including group sessions with the speaker and games. The children, volunteers, and organizers even played soccer together and took photos, fostering a unique atmosphere of camaraderie during the event.

To conclude Touch of Christ’s Soldiers, prizes were awarded to children who won the games. Subsequently, donations in the form of cash, books, stationery, and other necessities were handed over to the orphanage. The event ended with a communal meal and group photo session.

This initiative is expected to benefit all participating students and community members while raising awareness of the importance of spreading happiness and sharing with others, making our lives more meaningful and impactful.
